Maps have become visual information graphics that communicate an experience through different applications by the means of which they are used. I will evaluate the responsibilities of maps and how they have evolved into multi media cartography. I will look at examples of various applications of maps such as Google Maps, cell phone apps, and navigation systems, also how maps work, and art as maps. I intend to look into how current culture has demanded maps be used as virtual topographies of information and how that has evolved into a customized form of a narrative.
